PCB Through-hole Repair Kit

BEST through-hole repair kits are designed by artisans who have been repairing circuit boards for many years, therefore the right tools have been included in this general through-hole repair kit.  This kit includes a large number of flat flange eyelets in a good variety of sizes, which are recommended when a low profile or clearance factor is required.  The swage tool base and fixture allow for easy replacement of these eyelets. Dear Subscriber;
Along with an article on solder training (wires and terminals basics) and flex circuit rework we have included an article this month that will give you some tips on moving through your spring cleaning tasks.

BEST will continue its efforts to teach during various technical presentations in 2009 highlighted by the following:
We were pleased to recently host 40+ engineers for a seminar on prototyping practices.

See you at APEX in a few weeks!

Selective Flex Circuit Rework

Window Cut in 3mil Flex Trace

High density interconnect flex cutting, hole and via drilling, selective polyimide removal is defined as spaces and traces less than 200um ranges and 250um or less for vias. These type of flex circuits are used primarily in telecom, computer, IC manufacturing and medical devices. The BEST laser is tuned to be an efficient ablation tool for polyimide for flex processing. The result is less debris, faster cutting speed and a better quality of cut.

Junk
Spring Cleaning and Getting Rid of Stuff

 Here are some practical tactics for getting rid of stuff during your "spring cleaning":
1. Start small, with one closet or one corner of a room. Work in 15 minute intervals or 45 minutes one day a week in order make the task manageable.
2. Get three empty boxes, and label them "Keep", "Donate" and "Toss". Divide your junk into these boxes, and empty them frequently (in the garbage or at Goodwill).
3. Resist the urge to look through the photo albums and year books during the first round. If you think that the info contained therein will be valuable down the road, put them in the Keep box and deal with them at a later date.
4. Deciding what to get rid of is hard, but it must be done.
Here's one way to deal with these items:
1. Would you want to frame and display it?
Yes = Put it into the "Keep" box.
 No = GOTO step 2.
2. Would you want to take a picture of it?
Yes = Take picture and put it into the "Toss" box.
No =  Put it into the "Toss" box.
If you can take a picture of something that you want to remember, but can't use - do so. Put it in an album with a label. But let it go if it's taking up too much space.

But what should I do with it?

Donation is the key to getting rid of what you don't need. The amount of money you can make for selling my junk on eBay or craigslist rarely makes up for the amount of time that goes into arranging the sale.
Yard sales are a giant waste of time. Just plug in everyone's prep, clean-up and actual time spent in the yard sale multiplying this times what you would earn working in your career. The math will make you cry!
It can be hard to part with things, but in the long run, it's worth letting go. Remember, you can't take it with you.
